   Once upon a time there was a man called Pat McGovern who was compelled to go out and earn for his wife and family. He worked for seven (7) years with a certain woman; at the end of seven years he made up his mind to come home to see his wife and children. His landlady asked him which would he rather his seven years earning or three good advices and he said the three good advices were no good to him compared to his seven years earning for his wife and family. She persevered on him to take the three years good advices and he agreed. So she made up a parcel for him and told him not to interfere with that until he'd go home, and the three advices she gave him was to
   1 Never take a Near way while you can keep the road.
   2 Never lodge in a lodging house where there would be a young red haired woman married to an old man.
   3 Whenever your in a passion that you might do harm.
