- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)"Something new,
Something borrowed,
And something blue."There is still an old custom which is practised in this area. If you get a piece of a wedding cake, put it under your head for three nights. When you go to bed you should not speak to anyone and what ever person you dream of, within the three nights, that is the person you will marry."Bean hugging" is another ancient custom. When anyone gets married numbers of boys and girls dress up in straw and for this reason they are called "Straw-boys." They go to the wedding house and dance and spend the night in a very enjoyable manner. They have to be entertained at the weeding just the same as the invited guests. Often three or four bands of straw-boys attend each band having a captain. It is an older custom for the captain of the "bean beggars" to dance with the bride(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
