    There was a Slip Coffin for every two or three townsland. The bottom used to fall out of it and the corpse drop down into the grave. The coffin was left on the grave of the last person buried so that when next wanted, it could be easily found.
    In Drumlegga parish of Cloone there was a garden and the people cut sods in that garden and built them across their doors to keep the dogs from eating their bodies when they died.
