  1. The chief industry in our district it the forge. In the forge they shoe horse's and ass, they make gates, nails, horse's shoes, pot hooks and iron articles. In making a horse shoe the first thing done is to cut the iron into what ever length required. Then to reddin the iron and shape into the size required and nail it to the horse's hoofs.
