  1. In the centre of a field in the townland of Fearnaught, Dromod, there is a very old well. This field belongs to a man named William Murphy.
This well is surrounded by stones and is about the size of a bucket. One day a woman washed soiled in it, and it disappeared and was found again where it is at the present time. The water of this well removes warts. There is a track of the two human knees in the stones.
When a person needs warts removed he is supposed to put a pin into the track of the knees. He must also say a Pater and Ave for the Popes intention. It is said that St Patrick knelt and prayed at this well.
