He asked her if she would let her son accompany him for a certain distance along the road as he was a stranger. Her son got up and went with him along the road towards Crossboyne. A short distance from the graveyard there was a hill on the road and they both stopped on reaching the top. The stranger then pointed across the fields to the graveyard and asked Kelly if he made a grave there to-day, he said he did, then he asked if he gave a kick to a skull of a person which he found in the grave, and he said he did. Well said the stranger "that was my head and.I came for you to-night, for you to be killed and buried near me. Only for the kindness of your mother it would be so. You can turn home now and when ever you are making a grave again let the dead rest.- Faisnéiseoir
