- Holy WellsMy father told me that there are four holy wells in this district, one in Mount-Bellew called Cloonoran, one in Abbeyknockmoy called Knock-Crow, one in Ahascragh called St. Kevin's Well and one in Athenry called the 'Lady's Well'.
Water springs up in this well on the 15th August and it is dry on every other day of the year.
My father told me that Cloonoran, Knock Crow and Kevin's Well are three sister wells. Cloonoran is the first well that the people pay visits to and then the water leaves it and goes to Knock-Crow which is the next well the visits are paid to and St. Kevin's(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
