  1. In years gone by the Parish Priest used to pay a visit daily to his parishioners in turn. One day he went to visit a very old couple in Kealid. It was a very wet dat and the priest had an umbrella. He left the umbrella opened inside in the house. When he was leaving he forgot his umbrella, and he was gone a long distance when he thought of it. He sent a messenger back to get the umbrella but when the old couple tried to get the umbrella out, they could not as it was too wide for the door. So they got a hatchet to cut one side of the door. When the priest came back and saw what was going on, he took the umbrella and closed it. The old woman of the house was looking on and said, "I often heard that a priest had power but I never believed it firmly until now".
