- The place where the cows are at night is called the cow house. When the people are going into the cow house they say a prayer this is it, God bless all the cows in this cow house, and when they have a cow milked they stick one of their fingers down in the can of milk. Then they take it up and they make the sign of the cross on the cow's back with it and they say god bless the cow. If any person was getting a bottle of milk from his neighbour the neighbour when he would have the bottle filled would stick his finger into the bucket of water and he would put a little sip of water into the bottle on top of the milk for a pisreog
