- There was a Gentleman by the name of Burke in Glynsk. He was called sir John Burke. One day he was going to go to Galway, and the day before someone one was to prepare the way. The road had to be cleared of traffic as he went on horse back to Galway.
When he landed in Galway he threw money all sides of him so who could say a word to Sir John Burke of Glynsk castle. Sir John Burke and the priest of Glynsk disagreed some time after that and after mass one day the priest began speeching in the church yard.
