- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)tough + sticky. It was then forced this a would coming out in long pipes which were cat in suitable lengths. These were left to dry in the sun for sometime afterwards were left on a kiln to become drier + hard. When the estate was drained the machinery was taken away + pipe making in the area was never heard of since.
- Funchin BogSome years ago as some men were draining the bog that lies between Moate & Timicat they came across what was an old road about two feet under the surface running across the bog in a south westerly direction. This road was solidly made with stakes at the bottom covered over with branches of trees, furze & heath. Tradition has it that O'Sullivan Beare with his followers marched over this road when driven from Dunboy Castle on his journey to Breffni.
