  1. We have fields called "O'Conors land", "The bog field", "The hill field" "The Paddock", "The Park" and "The Scrub hill.
O'Conors land is so called because a man named O'Conor once owned it. The bog is called so because the soil is like that of a bog. The hill field is on a hill. The paddock is so called because a bull and other cattle were fenced in it. In the park football and hurling used to be plated and hence it got its name. The Scrub hill is so called because the undergrowth and bushes growing on it.
We also have a little field known as "the tennis court" because tennis used to be played on it.
We also have two sandpits from which sand used to be got but the supply is now exhausted.
We have a lime kiln from which all the lime used in the making of our house was obtained
