- Long ago a little boy and his mother lived together. One day the little boy told his mother that he was going to seek his fortune. After he had been travelling for a whole day he came to the king's castle. The king told him that he had been annoyed by three giants that lived near-by. Every night they used to steal sheep and cattle from him. Then he told the little boy that he would give anyone who would kill these giants the weight of himself of gold and his daughter in marriage. The boy told the king that he would get rid of the giants for him. One night he set out for the giant's home and there was an apple tree near-by so he climbed this tree.
