There was a magic hare in Cornamorriff townland, Killargue Co. Leitrim. She used to come out on the road when any one would be passing by and run around their legs. The person would be unable to move until she ran off again. She used to drink the milk of cows belonging to Hugh Carney who lived where Thomas Gallagher now lives in Cornamorriff. Several tried to shoot her but were unable until someone (no known who) made a silver bullet and shot her with it.
