  1. In the townland of Kileen near the four crossroads Killenumery church was first situated. This was an old thatched house and one night it took flight to the rock at Dromore and rested there for a day. The next night it started on its journey to Killenumery and took up the position of the present church which was built some time afterwards. The graves and mounds are still to be seen at its original site at Killeen.
