  1. Once upon a time there lived in Crumpawn a man named Mc Gloin. All his cattle had died except one cow. One day the people of the house were boiling a pot of the dead animal's meat when an old woman came in and sat by the fire. She took a ring from her pocket and began looking through it into the pot. When she went there was nothing in the pot but dirt. One day when the man was out he found a clover on the grass and he picked it up. Every day, when churning they put this clover on the churn and they always got the full of the churn of butter when using it. One day they thought that they were taking the butter from the neighbours so they (burt) burnt the clover and never got any butter again.
