Not many went to America except in the Free Emigration. There were no poems or stories about it. There is a hill in it called "Cnoc Sleibhe." The village is good for crops in the west of it but is not much good in the east. There are three lakes in it: Lough Tom, Lough Padraig and Lough Eascon.
