    It is said that there is a pot of gold buried in Cleggan Bay. Once a diver went down diving and it is said he got it, but before he could, up a serpent caught hold of him and swallowed him. It is also said that if you throw a black cat into the serpent's mouth he will allow you take the pot of gold.
    In Inisturk people dreamt that there is a pot of gold buried under a rock in Glaslán Beag on the west side of the island.
