My home district is in the townland of Shramore, a small village to the east of Williamstown or as was formerly known Templetogher and is in the barony of Ballymoe.
There are ten families in the townland and fifty people. All the houses are thatched but one two-storey house.
The townland got its name because there is a bog each side of it so that in olden times it must all have been a bog.
There is one old woman in the village who is seventy years old and she knows no Irish but she tell stories in English her name is Brigid Collins.
