Reynolds is the most common name in it. There are three kinds of houses there namely, thatched, tiled and slated. Meelick got its name from the lowlands that surround it.
There are four old people living in it all over seventy and some of ninety. some of them can tell stories in English, but none of them can tell any in Irish.
