  1. An old treasure
Many years ago there was a man living near Eyrecourt and he had a garden at the back of his house.
There was a whitethorn bush at the end of the garden and there was said to be a pot of gold under it and a black cat minding it.
Several people before had tried to get the pot of gold but failed, but one night the man that owned the garden and another man said they would surely get the gold.
The two men went out to the garden and began digging when the black cat sprang out of the ground and injured one man very badly and the other man fled home.
