Fairs are very interesting.On the fair morning the men get up very early and are busy gathering the stock. There is an awful din, dogs barking, wild cattle lowing and bonhams squealing.The fair-green is outside the town. The children love to hear the men making bargains. The buyer offers a sum of money and if the seller is not satisfied he makes a better offer and then another man comes and makes a bargain between the two men.The fairs are sometimes held in the streets in small towns or villages.
