- Houses.It is said that there were at least twice as many houses in this locality long ago as there are now. There was a family of ten or so in each house. Not one of those families had an income of more than 10/= (ten shillings) at any time. Still the children grew up to be fine men and women, most of them went to America or elsewhere.
