  1. The Kennies lived in Bridge Street, Gort, about sixty years ago. They used to make candles with moulds. They had a little shop, and they used to sell them there.
    Baskets were made in Crowe Street, Gort by Michael Power. He used make potato and calf baskets. He used stick the hazel rods in the ground, and build up the baskets by weaving thin rods through the thick ones. He used go round the town, and sell them to country people on market days.
