  1. There was once a great rogue who used steal everything from his two brothers. This day they put him into a bag and carried him off to drown him. This was thirsty work and as they were passing a shop they went in and left the rogue outside. He started shouting "Going to heaven in a bag."
It happened that a man was passing with a lot of cattle and when he heard the rogue shouting he asked him if he would let him in instead of himself. The rogue came out and let in the man and then went off home with the cattle.
The brothers came out and continued their journey and when they reached the lake they threw in the rogue as they thought. When they came home lo and behold he was at home before them and they asked him where did he get the cattle and he said he got them at the bottom of the lake.
Next day they went to the fair with the cattle and as they were passing the lake they saw the shadows of the cattle in the water. One of the lads jumped in and as he was going down he started bubbling in the water and the other fellow asked the rogue what was he saying and he said, "He is calling you in." The brother jumped in and the two of them were never heard of more.
