Suddenly the monk's ship rose up in the air, and the ships from the island were obliged to return to their home.The monks got to safety and landed in another country.This story was told to me by my grandmother, aged seventy six years living in Fairfield about a mile and half from the village of Aughrim.(Annie Carroll, Fairfield)
