    Once upon a time there lived a woman who had a large family and she used to have a lot of work to do.

    Once upon a time there lived a woman who had a large family and she used to have a lot of work to do, she used to card and spin a lot, and make and made her own flannels, and clothes for all her children so one time, she wanted to have a piece of flannen ready for a certean day and she would not be alye to reach to have it done. Three of her neghbors said they would come on a certian night to help [?] her, and they would stay up all night to finish it, so the night came and the woman put her children to bed and started at her carding, soon the women came as promised and she fell at the spinning, after a while she went to make the tea for them and she found she had no clean water in the house, so she ran to the well near by, she fillid her can, and as she had it filled a voice spoke to her from the bottom of, the well, and told her that the women were not who she thought they were, and that she never should have her house without clean water after Sunset, she never should stay up late at night, the that the night was for the dead, and the day for the liveing. The voive told her to go home and when she came near the hous to shout Cnoic Inn
