Story (ar lean)
“A long time ago there lived a man named Daniel O'Neill.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)they killed their own mothers and sold them. They used to go around saying "Old hags for gun powder".
There were two brothers named Hudden and Dudden who lived near the house of Daniel O'Neill. Hudden and Dudden tried to kill Daniel. They put him into a bag and brought him to the river. But before they reached the river, they saw a hare with a broken leg. They left the bag there and ran after the hare.
After a while, a drover came along with a flock of cattle. When Daniel heard him, he started singing:"To him who tied me here
May thanks and praise be given
God bless him night and day
For packing me to Heaven
On all the roads you name
You surely will not lag
To take me safe to Heaven
