- A Funny Story
There once lived together a mother and son. The son was very fond of gambling. He spent all his time and money on gambling. At length his mother got sick. She was bad for some time. She asked her son to make her a promise that he would get out of gambling. He promised her that he would never gamble again. She died next day. He stopped in for three nights after her death. The fourth night he started again. He had to pass by the graveyard. The first night he gambled there were two men looking for a foal that was lost. One of the men had the mother of the foal.
