- Blessed wells in the district.There are a lot of blessed wells situated in the district of Caherlistrane, Co. Galway.
The nearest one to my house is in Dough-Coona.
During the sixth century a saint called St. Cuana built a small church near it. The well never dries because it is a fountain.
People from all over Co. Galway come there on the 15th August.
They go around it fifteen times and say one Our Father, Three Hail Mary's and Glory be to the Father each time.
