  1. 1. For warts- to take a snail out of its house, and rub the juice on the spot where there are warts and to hang him on a gooseberry brush and while he would be dying the warts would be gone.

    3. They say that a leaf called Slanus which grows in the field is a cure for a sore eye, to bruise it between two stones
    4. To boil buttermilk and oatmeal together is a cure for a sore chest.
    5. Cure for a boil- to bruise together sugar and soap and put them on a piece of paper and paste them on the boil.
    6. To cure a toothache, put a bit of washing soda down in the tooth, and not to swallow a spit.
    7. When a fox is killed, keep his tongue for taking out thorns.
