Once upon a time there lived a boy in Ireland. He was about ten years old. One evening he was coming from school and he saw a bird on a bush. He caught it and there was a label on it. He red the label and this is what was written on it. Anyone that eats the liver and lights of this bird will get a purse of gold under his head every morning.
He boiled the liver and lights of this bird the next evening. When he had them eaten he told his mother. She hunted him because she thought that he die and she had no money to bury him.
He went away and he got lodging from a woman in the next village. When she was dressing the bed next morning she got a purse of gold under his head. The boy gave half of it to the woman.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
