Indian-meal bread.
This bread was made from flour and Indian meal mixed together. Then the mixture was wet with the juice of potatoes. It was baked in an oven-pot for three hours. Then it was taken out of the open pot and when it was cold it was ready for use. These cakes were usually baked on Fridays and therefore there must have been enough baked that would do a week.
