Nest and crosses the Oldtown road and on to Palmestown. It then turns sharply right towards Dublin at Palmerstown. It goes on to Greenogue and up to the Ashbourne road and on to Dublin. The lane is closed down noe.
A field that is along that lane is called Long Kate. I do not know the meaning of that name.
In the townland of Cottrelstown there are many fields. One is called the Bench Park, another is called The Goose Acre, and another is called the Big Division. I do not know the meaning of this name.

My address is Newtown, The Ward. There are names on some of the fields around my house such as "The Crock" and "The Devil's Acre" in The Ward. There was supposed to be a crock of gold found in the former but I do not know what the latter means.
There are names on some fields in the townland of Greenogue also.
