    The cure for a headache; they bathe the forehead in hot water and put a tight cloth around the head. These cures often prove to be effective and the old people believed in them. When one gets a scald it was the custom to put flour on it, or (put) olive oil. For sore feet they tell us to bathe the feet in iodine or in washing soda. To cure pains in the legs or knees they advise us to wear some kind of foot wear that will fasten above the ankle.
    The old people had those cures and they are still used and heard of although there are doctors.

  2. A cure for the sty in the eye, is to get another person's wedding ring, and rub it round the eye three times, in the name of the , Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
