  1. The Potato- Crop
    Potatoes are the food which is chiefly used by the Irish people. We ourselves have lots of growing.
    My father prepares the ground for them. We have about half-acre of land under potatoes. Potatoes are sown in the month of March.
    In a grassy field or patch potatoes are sown in ridges because the sod has not been turned before hand.
    But they are sown in drills where it has been sodded before. Before being sown the big seed potatoes are cut then manure is placed in the drills and the
