    Shrove Tuesday is a great day for pancakes and in Lusk. Long ago there used to be a great wrestling match and they would come from all parts to see it and the prizes they got were a football and a lot of fancy garters and the boys would give them to their best girls and they would want the honour of putting the garter on the girls leg.
    On November Night we have nuts and apples and we hang an apple from the ceiling to see who would get the first bite of it. We
