  1. Long ago there lived a beggar in a small town in Co. Mayo. He never did a day's work in his life. Every day he used to go to the priest begging. One day the priest asked why he did not work. The beggar said, "it is a bad town that is not able to support two of us." About a week later the beggar came again to the priest and he had not shaved. The priest asked him why he did not shave. "Well Father" said the beggar "I did not like to come to you too barefaced."
