A man named Denis Doherty in this district could cure people with strains or sinews out on their arms or legs. He also could cure people who had the jaundice or the flu.
There is a holy well in this district and it has many cures, one of the cures that I know its waters are used for is for warts. If you have warts on your hands dip them three times in the well and they will soon go away.
