    The fairies playing tricks told by John Mc Daid Glenkeen Gleneely Co. Donegal.
    In the time of my grandfather, a man and his wife lived in Glenkeen. They had twelve spoons but they began to disappear one by one until one night there was not one left to take their supper. The supper was ready and the door was open and in came a spoon as if thrown by someone. And in came the 2nd and so on until the twelve were all back and as the last spoon came in they heard laughing out in the field in front of the house. The fairies were having a joke at the old couple's expense.
