  1. The local fairs are held in Moville and Carndonagh. The fair is always held on a Thursday in Moville. It is always held on a 21st in Carndonagh.
The fair is held in a field near the town. The people who are selling and buying cattle stay up in the town at a place called the square.
When a man is buying a horse he always gets back a luck penny. If he gives a good price he gets a good luck-penny. If he gives a bad price he gets a small luck-penny.
Long ago there used to be fairs held at Redcastle and Muff.
