Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago we had wood workers in Inishowen. These wood workers were called coopers and made churns, tubs, and wooden buckets to carry water in. The churn was wide at the bottom and got narrow as it reached the top. The churn was made in two parts these two parts fitted together exactly.
One of these parts was called the bottom part, and the top part was called the crib. One of these families of coopers was living at Whitecastle and another family was living at Ballyargus. Their descendants are still called coopers although they do not work at the trade.
