Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago there were no lamps or any other kind of lights in Ireland. The people had to make their own lights. The way they made the candles was, they go little strips of cloth, and twisted them to make them like a cord.
Then they killed some kind of an animal and got the tallow out of it. Then they melted the tallow in a big pot and got the little strips of cloth and dipped them in it and took them out again and so by dipping and cooling it got as thick as was required.
