There was a station in a certain Mary Doherty's house and, Mary, wishing to make the priest some tea, but not knowing how to make it, thought she would make it a way of her own. When the kettle was boiling she poured the water into the teapot and added two spoonfulls of tea. When the tea had "drawn" she fetched a strainer and strained out the liquid and threw it away. Then she put the tea-leaves on a saucer and mixed two tea-spoonfulls of sugar with it. When she set this in front of the priest, he at once asked what was this, and she replied "Pleasing your riverence but that's the tae" "The tea? the priest incredulously asked, " but where's the liquid?
