  1. Once upon a time there lived an old beggar woman. This beggar woman went about with a dog. This is how she made her living going from house to house at night and stealing potatoes from other people's pits.
At this time there lived a priest, who met her one day and said "Can you not get no potatoes the year." "No"
"Well" says the priest. "There's a priest living up the road a bit, and he has a great big pit in the garden. Go you there to night and take some of his great big potatoes."
The beggar woman went to the pit that night. She tore, and tore but got no potatoes.
