  1. In Ireland long ago there were a lot of fairies going about and they lived in wee holes in the ground.
    There was a fairy who was king over all the fairies and he was called "Peewit" and he lived on a flower pot turned up side down.
    The others heard of his nice house and they were jealous and he went to the people and told them that they would have to build the others a house like his and the people were very angry, but they had to do it.
    The fairies danced round the thorn bushes every night.
