   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   While polititian spout and write, about the Irish farmers plight
   A line or two I'd like like to pen, concerning these department men.
   Who tours the country round in scores, with motor cars dressed in plus fours.
   If I'd my way some of these boys would soon be changed to corduroys.
   The Dails intentions may be good by giving grants to raise more food.
   But does not every farming man know how to cultivate his land.
   Much better than those theory read, who does the tilling with their head.
   And never handled pick nor spade, nor held a plough nor sharped a blade.
   Still you must cultivate your land, upon their scientific plan.
   If with their rules you dont comply all recompense they'll you deny.
   From them no benefit you'll reap, it takes
