Plants and Flowers their uses on Festive Occasions
In olden times if a person was going to Mass on Palm Sunday and had no palms with them he would take black sally with him. We always take palms with us. We also take Florishingcorn and American heather with us.
We decorate the house with holly on Christmas eve because it is a sighn of greeting. Then the holly is taken down after Christmas.
There is a large number of uses taken from the May flower. The May flower is a nice white flower that grows in the month of May. In the Month of May we make a May altar and put May flowers and prim-roses on it.
