The Cure for the Scrofula.
The seventh son in a family is supposed to be the one who can cure the scrofula or the evil.
People who have this disease are supposed to come to this man three Mondays after each other before the sun rises.
This disease is cured by rubbing a sixpence with a fasting spittle on it on the sore part of the body.
When this is done the scrofula is cured.
My mother's uncle had the cure for the scrofula and he cured lots of people.
