    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Potatoes are the chief crops that are grown in the district. They are sown in the Spring and they are dug in the Autumn. We put an acre of land under potatoes each year. My father prepares the land.
    Some people manure the land in winter and then they plough it up in Spring.
    The potatoes are sown in drills. First the ground is ploughed then it harrowed until the soil is made fine. Then the drills are opened with a drilling plough.
    Wooden ploughs were used here before metal ones were know of.
    No one about here has a wooden plow now. The spade are bought in the shops.
    In winter the seed potatoes are spread out on a loft to sprout.
    Then in Spring they are cut
